Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced UCA (Unified Correlation Analyzer) Developer & Support Engineer with strong expertise in telecom domain, the candidate must understand alarm correlation, Java-based OSS systems, and network topologydriven RCA platforms.
The candidate will be responsible for development, customization, and operational support of the Unified Correlation Analyzer(UCA) platform which processes alarms from HPE vTeMIP, applies rule-based correlation logic, performs service impact analysis, and identifies root causes using network inventory and topology data available in Neo4j.
The role requires strong understanding of telecom network domains including IP, Transport, RAN, and Core networks, along with the ability to design and implement both inter-domain and intra-domain alarm correlation scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
UCA rules Development & Customization
• Develop and maintain Java-based correlation rules and process logic in UCA.
• Design and implement alarm correlation scenarios for telecom OSS environments.
• Develop inter-domain and intra-domain correlation use cases across:
• IP Network
• Transport Network
• RAN Network
• Core Network
• Implement service impact analysis and root cause identification logic.
• Enhance correlation algorithms for alarm suppression, deduplication, enrichment, and RCA generation.
• Develop custom workflows, processors, and integration modules.
Alarm Correlation & RCA
• Analyze alarms received from vTeMIP and other OSS systems.
• Correlate alarms using topology, dependency, and inventory relationships.
• Identify parent-child alarm relationships and service impact scenarios.
• Design logic for outage detection, cascading failures, and network degradation events.
• Reduce alarm noise using intelligent correlation techniques.
• Validate and optimize correlation accuracy and performance.
Topology & Inventory Integration
• Work with Neo4jbased topology and inventory systems.
• Understand telecom network inventory relationships and dependencies.
• Utilize topology data for impact analysis and root cause identification.
• Develop topology-aware correlation logic using graph relationships.
• Validate inventory synchronization and topology consistency.
Telecom Domain Expertise
• Understand end-to-end telecom network architecture and services.
• Work on correlation scenarios involving:
• Router/Switch failures
• Transport link failures
• Microwave/Fiber issues
• RAN site outages
• Core network degradations
• Power and infrastructure-related alarms
• Interpret EMS/NMS alarms from multiple telecom vendors.
Integration & Automation
• Support integration between UCA, vTeMIP, EMS/NMS, and OSS platforms.
• Work with REST APIs, messaging systems, and alarm ingestion frameworks.
• Develop automation scripts and utilities using Python/Shell.
Production Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide L2/L3 support for UCA production environments.
• Troubleshoot correlation failures, processing delays, and data inconsistencies.
• Analyze logs, performance bottlenecks, and rule execution issues.
• Support deployments, patch upgrades, and release activities.
• Coordinate with operations and infrastructure teams during major incidents.

Mandatory Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• Experience working on telecom OSS/FM systems.
• Strong understanding of telecom alarm correlation concepts.
• Experience developing inter-domain and intra-domain correlation logic.
• Strong understanding of telecom network inventory and topology concepts.
• Experience with Neo4j or graph-based inventory/topology systems.
• Experience in RCA and service impact analysis.
• Knowledge of alarm/event management platforms such as vTeMIP.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong SQL/querying and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with REST APIs and integration development.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
