  • Resume & Documents: Uploaded CV/resume files, cover letters, portfolio links, professional certifications
  • Account Credentials: Username, encrypted password, login activity and timestamps
  • Application Data: Job applications submitted, interview status updates, recruiter communications
  • Activity Data: Job searches, profiles viewed, saved jobs, alert preferences, time spent on platform

4.2 Data Collected From Employers & Recruiters

  • Organisation Data: Company name, industry, size, registered address, website, CIN/TAN
  • Contact Person Data: Name, designation, official email, direct phone number
  • Account Credentials: Login details, access permissions, recruiter sub-account management
  • Job Posting Data: Job descriptions, salary ranges, location preferences, application volumes
  • Candidate Interaction Data: Candidate shortlisting activity, communication history, hiring decisions

4.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data

  • Device & Browser: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers
  • Usage Analytics: Pages visited, links clicked, session duration, referral source, search queries
  • Cookie Data: Session cookies, persistent cookies, analytical and preference cookies (see Section 14)

4.4 Data We Do Not Collect

IT PRIME JOBS explicitly does NOT collect or require the following:

  • Aadhaar number or biometric data (unless explicitly required for verified government hiring programmes, with separate consent)
  • Bank account or credit card details (payments via third-party payment gateways only, not stored by us)
  • Religious or caste identity (unless voluntarily stated in a resume by the user)
  • Medical or health records (unless directly relevant to disclosed disability accommodations)
  • Political opinions or affiliations

5. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

  • Post a job vacancy or access our candidate database as an employer

5.2 Automated Collection — We Collect It As You Use the Platform

We automatically collect certain technical and behavioural data as you use our platform through cookies, pixel tags, server logs, and analytics tools. This data is used to understand usage patterns, improve platform performance, and personalise your experience.

5.3 Third-Party Collection — Others Provide It To Us

In certain circumstances, we may receive your personal data from third parties, including:
  • Employer partners who submit candidate details after receiving an application through a third-party board
  • Social or professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn) when you choose to import your profile
  • Reference providers or background verification services (with your explicit prior consent only)

6. WHY WE PROCESS YOUR DATA — LEGAL BASIS

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable data protection principles, IT PRIME JOBS processes your personal data only where a valid legal basis exists. The legal bases we rely on are:

  • Matching your profile to relevant job opportunities based on your skills, experience, and preferences
  • Submitting your applications to employer partners on your instruction
  • Sending you personalised job alerts, career recommendations, and platform notifications
  • Enabling recruiters and verified employer partners to view your profile or contact you for relevant opportunities
  • Providing career guidance, content recommendations, and platform improvement based on your usage
  • Verifying your identity and professional credentials where applicable
  • Communicating with you about your applications, account status, and platform updates

7.2 For Employers & Recruiters

  • Creating and managing your employer account and job postings
  • Providing access to the IT PRIME JOBS candidate database under agreed terms
  • Facilitating candidate shortlisting, communication, and interview management
  • Generating analytics reports on your recruitment activity and pipeline
  • Processing payments for premium recruitment services
  • Verifying employer identity and compliance with our platform terms

7.3 For All Users

  • Operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the platform
  • Preventing fraud, spam, and misuse
  • Complying with legal obligations and responding to regulatory inquiries
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service and other applicable policies
  • Conducting internal analysis to understand how the platform is used and how it can be improved
  • Sending service-related communications that are necessary and non-promotional

8. RESUME DATABASE & EMPLOYER VISIBILITY

A core service of IT PRIME JOBS is making job seekers’ profiles and resumes visible to verified employer partners. This is how we accelerate the hiring process and deliver on our commitment to proactive placement.

8.1 How Resume Visibility Works

When you create a profile on IT PRIME JOBS, your resume and professional information are added to our searchable candidate database. Verified employers and recruitment partners who have signed our Data Access Agreement can search this database, view profiles, and contact candidates directly for relevant opportunities.

8.2 Your Control Over Visibility

  • Active / Visible (Default): Your full profile is searchable and viewable by verified employers
  • Confidential: Your profile is visible but your current employer name is hidden from search results — suitable if you are employed and want discreet job searching
  • Private / Inactive: Your profile is removed from employer search entirely — you may still browse and apply actively
  • You can change your visibility setting at any time from your profile settings dashboard.

8.3 Who Can Access Your Resume

  • Only employers and recruitment agencies who have completed our verification process and signed our Data Access Agreement
  • Internal IT PRIME JOBS staff for platform operations, support, and quality assurance
  • Authorised technology partners who process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your resume data to any third party outside of verified employer partners and authorised processors. We do not make your resume data available to general internet search engines.

8.4 Employer Conduct

Verified employers access candidate data for the sole purpose of recruitment and hiring. All employers who access candidate data are contractually required to handle it in accordance with applicable data protection law, use it only for recruitment purposes, and delete it when no longer needed. IT PRIME JOBS monitors for misuse and will suspend or remove access from any employer found to be using candidate data improperly.

9. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

IT PRIME JOBS retains personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Our specific retention periods are:

After the applicable retention period expires, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised in a manner that prevents re-identification. Where legal obligations require us to retain data beyond the standard period, we maintain only the minimum data required to satisfy that obligation.

10. HOW WE SHARE YOUR DATA

IT PRIME JOBS does not sell your personal data to any third party. We share personal data only in the circumstances described below, and only to the minimum extent necessary for each purpose.

10.1 With Verified Employer Partners

Candidate profile data is shared with verified employers who have signed our Data Access Agreement, for the sole purpose of recruitment and hiring. The scope and conditions of this sharing are described in detail in Section 8

10.2 Within the IT PRIME Ecosystem

IT PRIME JOBS, IT PRIME NEWS, and IT PRIME TV are part of the same operating ecosystem. We may share non-sensitive profile information and aggregate analytics within this ecosystem for internal operational purposes, under the same data protection standards. We will notify you of any inter-entity sharing that goes beyond operational necessity.

10.3 With Technology & Service Providers

We engage technology partners and service providers to operate the platform. These include cloud hosting providers, email delivery services, payment gateways, analytics platforms, and security services. All such partners are governed by Data Processing Agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to IT PRIME JOBS.

10.4 With Legal & Regulatory Authorities

We will disclose your personal data to law enforcement, government authorities, courts, or regulators when required to do so by applicable law, court order, or regulatory direction — and only to the extent required by such legal obligation. Where permitted, we will notify you of any such disclosure.

10.5 In Business Transfers

If IT PRIME JOBS undergoes a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or corporate restructuring, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of that transaction. We will notify registered users by email and/or prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before any such transfer takes effect, and you will have the right to delete your account before the transfer is completed.

10.6 With Your Explicit Consent

We may share your personal data with other third parties where you have given us specific, informed, and freely given consent to do so — for example, when you choose to share your profile with a specific employer via a referral link, or when you apply to a job on a third-party platform that uses IT PRIME JOBS’ infrastructure.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & INTEGRATIONS

Our platform may integrate with or link to third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party services, even if we have linked to them or they are embedded within our platform. The following categories of third-party services operate in connection with our platform:
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Hosting and computing services that process data on our behalf under strict contractual controls
  • Email Service Providers: For sending job alerts, application confirmations, and platform notifications
  • Payment Gateways: For processing employer subscription and premium service payments. Card details are never stored by IT PRIME JOBS
  • Analytics Services: For understanding platform usage and performance. We use cookieless or anonymised analytics where possible
  • Background Verification Partners: Third-party verification services engaged with your prior explicit consent for credential verification
  • Social Network Integrations: If you use LinkedIn or similar import features, the data you import is governed by both the third party’s and our policies
We review all third-party providers’ privacy and security practices before engagement and require contractual compliance with applicable data protection law.

12. DATA SECURITY

IT PRIME JOBS implements industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our security architecture includes:

  • Intrusion detection systems and real-time security monitoring
  • Secure, isolated backup systems with encrypted backup storage

12.2 Organisational Measures

  • Data protection training for all staff with access to personal data
  • Documented data processing procedures and access control policies
  • Contractual data protection obligations for all third-party processors
  • A designated Privacy Team responsible for data governance and incident response

12.3 Your Responsibilities

Your account security is a shared responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for ensuring your account reflects accurate, current information. You should log out of shared devices and notify us immediately at security@itprimejobs.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

13. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable privacy principles, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data held by IT PRIME JOBS:

Right to Restrict Processing Request that we limit how we use your data while you dispute its accuracy or object to processing.
Right to Data Portability Request a machine-readable copy of the data you have provided to us. We will provide your data in a structured, commonly used format (JSON or CSV).
Right to Object Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling and direct marketing. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling grounds.
Right to Not Be Subject to Automated Decisions Request human review of any automated decision that significantly affects you. See Section 19 for our automated processing practices.
Right to Nominate Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer if you believe your rights have been violated. See Section 23 for contact details.
To exercise any of the above rights, you may submit a request through your account settings, by email to privacy@itprimejobs.com, or by writing to our Grievance Officer at the address in Section 23. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days. In some cases, we may need to verify your identity before processing a request. We will never charge a fee for data subject rights requests.

14. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

IT PRIME JOBS uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate, secure, and improve the platform experience. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. We use the following categories of cookies:

14.1 Cookie Categories

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for the platform to function — enabling login sessions, security features, and form submission. Cannot be disabled.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences such as language, saved searches, and notification settings to provide a personalised experience.
  • Analytics Cookies: Collect anonymised data about how users navigate the platform, helping us identify and fix performance issues. Set by our analytics providers.
  • Marketing Cookies: Used only where you have given explicit consent, to show relevant job recommendations on third-party platforms or track referral effectiveness.

14.2 Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies at any time through our Cookie Preference Centre (accessible from the footer of every page) or through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect platform functionality. Disabling analytics or marketing cookies will not impact your ability to use the platform or apply for jobs.

14.3 Do Not Track

IT PRIME JOBS respects browser-level Do Not Track signals. Where we detect a Do Not Track signal, we will disable non-essential tracking and analytics cookies automatically for that session.

15. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

IT PRIME JOBS is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect, process, or store personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18 without verified parental consent, we will delete that data immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account on our platform, please contact us immediately at privacy@itprimejobs.com.

16. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

IT PRIME JOBS is headquartered and primarily operates in India. Your personal data is primarily stored and processed within India. In cases where we engage cloud hosting or technology providers whose infrastructure is located outside India, we ensure that such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable Indian data protection law, including any adequacy determinations, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent transfer mechanisms prescribed by the Data Protection Board of India.
We will update this section promptly if our data residency arrangements change materially. You have the right to request information about the safeguards in place for any cross-border transfer of your personal data by writing to privacy@itprimejobs.com.

17. JOB ALERTS, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

17.1 Service Communications

IT PRIME JOBS sends service communications that are necessary to operate your account and deliver our services. These include account confirmation emails, application status updates, security alerts, and important policy change notifications. These communications are not optional — by using the platform, you agree to receive them.

17.2 Job Alert Emails

Job alerts are a core service feature, sent based on your stated preferences and job search activity. You can customise alert frequency and criteria in your account settings. You may unsubscribe from job alerts at any time — this will not delete your account or profile.

17.3 Marketing Communications

We send marketing communications only to users who have provided explicit consent. These may include platform feature announcements, career advice content, employer spotlight features, or promotions. You can withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ in any marketing email or adjusting your communication preferences in your account settings.

17.4 Third-Party Marketing

IT PRIME JOBS does not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Employer partners are contractually prohibited from using candidate data obtained through our platform for marketing purposes unrelated to recruitment.

18. EMPLOYER & RECRUITER OBLIGATIONS

Employers and recruiters who access candidate data through IT PRIME JOBS assume specific obligations under our Data Access Agreement. These obligations include:
  • Processing candidate data only for the recruitment purposes for which access was granted
  • Implementing appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect candidate data
  • Retaining candidate data only for the duration necessary for the relevant recruitment process
  • Not sharing candidate data with third parties outside the employer’s organisation without explicit candidate consent
  • Not using candidate data for any form of profiling, marketing, or analysis unrelated to the specific recruitment requirement
  • Promptly deleting all candidate data upon our request or upon the conclusion of the hiring process
  • Reporting any data breach or suspected misuse of candidate data to IT PRIME JOBS within 24 hours of becoming aware
Failure to comply with these obligations will result in immediate suspension of platform access and may result in legal action. Job seekers may report employer misconduct to grievance@itprimejobs.com.

19. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING & PROFILING

IT PRIME JOBS uses automated systems to improve the relevance and efficiency of the platform. Specifically:
  • Job Matching Algorithms: We use automated systems to match candidate profiles to job listings based on skills, experience, location, and preferences. These systems generate recommendations but do not make final hiring decisions — all hiring decisions are made by human employers.
  • Search Ranking: Candidate profiles may be ranked in employer search results based on relevance signals including profile completeness, skill match, recent activity, and application responsiveness.
  • Fraud Detection: Automated systems monitor for suspicious activity, fake profiles, and platform misuse. These systems may flag accounts for human review.
No automated decision made by IT PRIME JOBS’ systems has legally binding consequences for you or significantly affects your legal rights. Automated matching determines which jobs are recommended to you, and which employers see your profile first — but it does not determine whether you are hired. All hiring decisions remain with human employers.
You have the right to request human review of any automated process that affects how your profile is presented or ranked. To exercise this right, contact privacy@itprimejobs.com.

20. DATA BREACH RESPONSE

Despite our comprehensive security measures, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, IT PRIME JOBS will:
  • Investigate the breach immediately upon becoming aware of it and take all available steps to contain, remediate, and assess the impact
  • Notify the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required under the DPDP Act, 2023, where the breach is likely to result in a risk to individuals
  • Notify affected individuals directly, by email to the registered address, within 72 hours of confirming the breach involves their personal data — without undue delay
  • Provide affected individuals with: a description of the nature of the breach, the categories and approximate number of records involved, the likely consequences of the breach, and the measures we have taken or propose to take to address it
  • Maintain a comprehensive internal record of all data breaches, regardless of whether they meet the statutory notification threshold

21. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

IT PRIME JOBS may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology practices, applicable law, or regulatory guidance. We are committed to transparent and timely communication of any material changes

21.1 How We Will Notify You

  • Material changes — those that affect how we use your data, your rights, or sharing with new third parties — will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 30 days before the change takes effect
